On the 1st of December I turned 26. A thoroughly insignificant number, as they go. My wonderful friend Justyna came up from London to celebrate with me, we had Chinese food, I got some unexpected gifts and cards from colleagues, and I spent the day as I mean to spend the year, sitting in my office working on my PhD. Happy birthday to me.
