Today is my 26th birthday. I've been in Durham for two months, 8 weeks, that's not long. I turned 21 in Umeå, and while studying there I made a lot of close friends very quickly. It was a completely different atmposhere to here, in almost every possible way.
On my 21st birthday I woke up in my friend's apartment, we had cake for breakfast, and I had three birthday cakes at a very special birthday fika that evening. That was 5 years ago. I can't believe it was so long ago, but I can still remember it so clearly.
Today has been hard, but no harder than all days that are coming lately. So many changes.
Happy birthday, I suppose.
